Fix: Supplier winner not showing / toggling

Why the Winner (trophy) indicator might not appear (or won’t toggle on/off), the fastest fixes, and what details to send if you report it.
What “Winner” is supposed to do
Winner is a simple toggle that marks a supplier as your preferred choice.
When it works correctly:
Clicking the trophy / Winner control marks that supplier as the winner.
The supplier card shows winner styling (e.g., green border + trophy state).
Clicking again deselects the winner (toggle off) — you don’t need to pick another supplier first.
Important:
Winner is only a decision marker.
Winner does not control Kanban creation or movement.
Common symptoms
You might notice one of these:
You click the trophy, but the winner style doesn’t show.
Winner shows for a second, then disappears.
You can’t deselect the winner (toggle off).
Winner shows in one view, but not another (Master List vs Suppliers).
Fix it fast (do these in order)
1) Refresh once
Most “winner not showing” cases are stale UI.
Refresh once
Re-open the Suppliers tab and check again
2) Confirm you’re looking at the correct Portfolio filter
Suppliers can be filtered by portfolio.
Fix:
Switch portfolio to All
Open Suppliers
Find the product and supplier again
If it appears in All, you were simply filtered.
3) Confirm the supplier card is saved (not just typed)
Winner can only apply to a supplier that exists and is saved.
Quick test:
Edit a small field (example: add a word to Notes) and save
Refresh once
Try setting Winner again
4) Close extra D2C Lab tabs (prevents silent overwrites)
If you have multiple tabs open, one tab can overwrite state.
Fix:
Close all D2C Lab tabs
Open one fresh tab
Try toggling Winner again
5) Try incognito/private window
If it works in incognito but not your normal browser, it’s usually:
cache/session issues, or
an extension blocking scripts.
Fix:
Clear site data/cookies for
d2clab.coDisable ad blockers/extensions for the site
6) Test a different browser
Quick test:
Chrome ↔ Safari ↔ Edge
If winner toggling works in one browser but not another, it’s a browser/extension issue.
“Winner looks wrong” but it’s actually correct
Case A: You expected the winner to appear in Kanban
Winner does not affect Kanban. Kanban cards are created when any supplier contact exists.
Case B: You expected the winner to change the Master List supplier field
Depending on your setup, Master List may display:
the latest supplier you interacted with, or
a chosen/winner supplier.
If your Master List doesn’t update after setting a winner, treat it as a UI sync issue first:
refresh once
switch portfolio to All
If it still doesn’t match expectations, report it (details below).
Quick checklist (30 seconds)
✅ Refresh once
✅ Portfolio filter = All
✅ Make a small supplier edit and save
✅ Close extra tabs
✅ Incognito test
✅ Try another browser
If it still won’t show/toggle (report it)
