Fix: Supplier compare not showing expected fields

What you’ll learn

Why the Compare view might look incomplete (missing pricing, MOQ, lead time, incoterms, scores, or notes), how to fix it fast, and what to include if you report it.

What Compare is supposed to show

Supplier Compare is meant to show a side-by-side snapshot of the most important fields for up to 3 suppliers.

You should generally expect to see:

  • Unit cost

  • MOQ

  • Lead time

  • Incoterms

  • Scores (0–5 sliders summary)

  • Docs/Certificates link (if added)

  • Notes (or a summary)

Depending on your setup, some fields may be optional — but your core pricing/terms fields should appear.

Common symptoms

You might notice:

  • Compare opens, but many fields are blank even though you filled them.

  • Some suppliers show fields, others don’t.

  • Compare doesn’t reflect your latest edits.

  • Compare shows the wrong suppliers.

Fix it fast (do these in order)

1) Confirm you selected 2–3 suppliers (not more)

Compare supports up to 3 suppliers.

Fix:

  • Select 2 or 3 suppliers only

  • Open Compare again

2) Confirm the missing fields are actually saved

Often the data was typed but didn’t persist.

Quick test:

  1. Open the supplier card

  2. Edit one missing field (example: add +1 then revert)

  3. Save

  4. Refresh once

  5. Open Compare again

3) Refresh once (stale UI is common)

Compare can show cached values.

Fix:

  • Refresh the page once

  • Reopen Compare

4) Close extra tabs (prevents overwrites)

Multiple open tabs can cause silent state conflicts.

Fix:

  • Close all D2C Lab tabs

  • Open one fresh tab

  • Re-select suppliers and open Compare

5) Check Portfolio filter

Suppliers can be filtered by portfolio.

Fix:

  • Switch portfolio to All

  • Go to Suppliers

  • Re-select suppliers and open Compare

If fields appear in All but not in a portfolio, it’s a filter/view mismatch.

6) Try incognito/private window

If Compare looks correct in incognito but not in your normal browser:

  • cache/session or extensions are interfering.

Fix:

  • Clear site data/cookies for d2clab.co

  • Disable ad blockers/extensions for the site

7) Try a different browser

Quick test:

  • Chrome ↔ Safari ↔ Edge

If it works in one browser but not another, it’s likely browser/extension-related.

“Fields are blank” — the 3 usual reasons

Reason A: Fields were not filled on that supplier

Compare can’t show data that isn’t entered.

Fix:

  • Fill the core fields for each supplier:

    • Unit cost

    • MOQ

    • Lead time

    • Incoterms

Reason B: You updated fields but they didn’t save

Fix:

  • Open supplier card → make a small edit → save → refresh

Reason C: Compare is showing older cached data

Fix:

  • Refresh once

  • Try incognito

Best practice (so Compare always works)

  • Fill Unit cost + MOQ + lead time for every serious supplier.

  • Use the same units (days/weeks) consistently in lead time.

  • Add Incoterms as short codes (EXW/FOB/CIF) so Compare stays clean.

If it still looks wrong (report it)

Post this in:
feedback.d2clab.co → Bug Reports

Include:

  1. Product name

  2. Supplier names selected

  3. Which fields are missing (example: “MOQ + lead time blank for Supplier B”)

  4. Screenshot of supplier card fields (showing they’re filled)

  5. Screenshot of the Compare popup

  6. Device + browser (example: iPhone / Safari)

  7. Whether incognito works (Yes/No)
